With the support of the Municipality of Vižinada, Sonda hosted a series of photography workshops that allowed students from the Vižinada Elementary School to actively explore and express their uniqueness through portrait photography, under expert mentorship and practical work.
The workshops aimed to help students understand the importance of authenticity in a world increasingly defined by visual media and social networks.
The dynamic workshops were held over several sessions, where theoretical and practical aspects were covered to give students the opportunity to better understand and appreciate the world of photography while developing their technical skills and critical thinking about visual culture.
During the first session, eighth-grade students from the Vižinada Elementary School explored the basic technical aspects of photography over 90 minutes, which they were then able to apply in the real environment of a professional production studio. The workshops focused on exploring individuality and awareness of diversity in an era where standardized images on social media often shape identity perception. In addition to the basics of handling cameras and portrait techniques, students actively focused on composition and lighting to highlight the personality and features of the subject.

The activities were carried out under the professional guidance during October and November, as a supplement to the art education curriculum and class meetings. Professional support and leadership were provided by Sean Poropat, Creative Director of Sonda Studio, photographer, and head of Sonda’s photography department, with a degree from the prestigious New York Institute of Photography.
At the end of the workshops, a special digital exhibition of students’ works was held in December. The activities were co-financed by the Municipality of Vižinada.
