Designer’s Beginner – Logo Design

As part of the Designer’s Beginner program, conducted in collaboration with the Croatian Designers Association (HDD), Sonda Creative Center hosted students from Mate Blažina High School in Labin, led by Professor Majda Milevoj Klapčić.

This time, under the mentorship of experienced graphic designer Martina Ukić, students explored logo design, generating innovative and original ideas using pencils, markers, and stickers.

The workshop was not just an opportunity to learn but also to create. Through a series of engaging creative challenges, participants were encouraged to develop their design skills. They were given a seemingly simple task—to imagine their own company and design a logo that would represent their unique brand. By experimenting with shapes, colors, and typography, they crafted visual identities, brainstormed brand names, and even explored monograms—logos formed by overlapping two or three letters—to ensure their brand would make a strong impact in the market.

The Design Starter program is supported by Istrian County – Regione Istriana, with the goal of fostering artistic expression, creative and conceptual thinking, and observational skills. Through the creative process and hands-on project development, young participants are introduced to design fundamentals, the importance of design as a whole, and its impact on everyday life.
